We are looking for a Regional Manager to join our team. The right candidate for this role needs to have experience of recruiting international student from across sub-Sahara Africa and should have a background in working with agents as well as in direct student recruitment.

We are looking for a Regional Manager to join our team. The right candidate for this role needs to have experience of recruiting international student from across sub-Sahara Africa and should have a background in working with agents as well as in direct student recruitment.
Key responsibilities
Strategy & Sales Targets
- Achieve recruitment targets for all 3 Abbey DLD Colleges.
- Build and execute an annual and longer-term sales strategy for Abbey DLD Colleges across the region and across all sales channels that ensures sales targets are achieved.
- Overall budget responsibility for the region.
- Regularly feedback to senior management on market performance, producing sales reports and analysis where required.
- Participate and contribute to regional and international sales meetings as part of the global sales team.
- Establishing strong relationships with existing and new partners as well as with other external stakeholders.
- Day-to-day management of agents and student enquiries across the UK/Europe.
- Create an annual agent visits, events and training plan, inclusive of academic travel.
- Regularly travel to visit agents across the region. Where Covid-19 prevent travel, plans should be adapted to ensure activity continues even if this needs to be remote.
- Be the primary contact for agents, ensuring exceptional customer service to all key stakeholders.
- Deal with any escalated agent customer service issues and work with key internal teams to maintain and develop customer service throughout the application process.
- Increase the amount of agents Abbey DLD work with and strengthen existing relationships.
- Develop the region in terms of new markets, opportunities and agent relationships.
- Analysis of student recruitment data and trends identifying and acting upon opportunities to maximise student recruitment.
- Work pro-actively to generate innovative ideas to drive market growth.
- Lead on direct marketing initiatives, working with the marketing team to implement direct sales strategies within the region, taking the lead to adapt these as required.
- Monitor and report on activities and communications with direct leads and opportunities in Oracle CRM, taking measures to ensure student conversion rates are as high as possible.
- Ensure SLAs (service level agreements) are met as agreed with the Global Head of Sales.
- Work with digital marketing colleagues to devise online campaigns to generate student interest and applications.
- Build a strong direct presence in the region through networking, referrals, sponsorship, etc.
- Ensure conversion targets are met by implementing best practice lead and opportunity management processes in coordination with the International Admissions Centre (IAC).
- Results oriented. Proven track record of meeting sales targets
- Substantial practical experience of strategic recruitment of international students
- Extensive experience of the region
- An existing network of agent contacts in the region
- Excellent sales management, communication and presentation skills
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Adaptable, able to identify the need to adjust and act quickly
- Budget management experience
- Knowledge of a CRM system, online campaigns and lead management
- Conversion management experience
- Competent computer skills including CRM experience
- A flexible approach to working hours and locations including travel
- Fluent in English and a second language would be an advantage
- Displays a positive, can-do attitude
- Trustworthy, dependable and reliable
- Passionate about the Abbey DLD product offering
- Willing to undertake additional domestic and European travel in addition to your own regional manager travel requirements.
