4G: Airtel invests $325m in network infrastructure

Mobile telephone network operator, Airtel Nigeria, invested a sum of N117 billion ($325 million) on network expansion in the last 12 months, New Telegraph has learnt. The parent company, Airtel Africa, disclosed this in its financial results for the year ended March 31, 2020.
 
This showed that the company invested more in the 2020 financial year compared to 2019, when its total capital expenditure stood at N64.8 billion ($180 million). The investments, according to the company, were specifically targeted at building more 4G infrastructure across the country…
