Lagos consumes $5.1m red meat daily

Lagos State consumed 6000 cows estimated more than $5.1 million (N2.1 billion) worth of red meat daily, the Commissioner of Agriculture, Ms Abisola Olusanya has said.
 
Speaking during while inauguration 11-man Task Force on Veterinary Practice Premises in the State in furtherance of its Red Meat Transformation Agenda, the Commissioner added that the sector also slaughters 2 million heads of cows annually
