We are recruiting for the role of a Student Recruitment Representative in our Nigerian office. This new post holder will help to set and achieve challenging recruitment targets for Sub-Saharan Africa, and will be responsible for developing and delivering the associated recruitment strategy for TUS. The post holder will play an important role in the marketing and promotion of TUS in the Sub- Saharan Africa region with profile raising and publicity activity for TUS. The individual will work to develop and sustain partnerships in the country as well as develop unique initiatives and implementation strategies for student recruitment, agent and event management.

This experienced individual will have excellent marketing communications skills and experience working in an international environment to deliver against ambitious marketing and recruitment targets for Sub-Saharan Africa.
 
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be responsible for the design and delivery of effective recruitment, market plans and strategy for Sub-Saharan African to maximise student and revenue growth from the region.
  • Serve as a liaison to develop partnerships between the TUS university and local school systems throughout the state.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with key external stakeholders in Nigeria and other countries in the Sub-Saharan Africa region such as education agents, school and college counsellors, Visa office, government bodies, sponsorship bodies, accreditation bodies and alumni.
  • Assist in the efficient processing of applications for TUS university coming from Nigeria and other African countries.
  • Undertake marketing activities such as attending study abroad fairs, secondary school events and career days with the aim of promoting TUS and increasing students at the university.
  • Work with the TUS international office in the development of a student recruitment and retention strategy for the region through in-person market research and data.
  • Be proactive in organizing events and workshops within the country with the aim of promoting TUS.
  • Deal with enquiries (in person, telephone, email, social) from applicants, recruitment agents and sponsors in a timely and efficient manner necessary.
  • Ensure, at all times, the delivery of a highly flexible, responsive and effective customer service to prospective students and their influencers; university partners and other key audiences (agents, high schools, sponsors etc.)
  • Deliver quality presentations about TUS to prospective clients and students.
  • Create a database of prospective and current students and/or potential degree candidates in the country.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • A minimum of an Honours degree with three years’ experience in a commercial environment; study in Ireland or overseas will be advantageous
  • Experience working in Education recruitment with educational consultants and or postsecondary institutions directly.
  • Experience in marketing and brand promotion.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Autonomous self-starter, with the ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Pro-active and able to start and take initiatives.
  • Effective IT skills and attention to details.
  • Discretion, tact and diplomacy
  • Computer literate; Proficient in Microsoft packages and google tools.
  • Ability to analyze data for reports.
 
IMPORTANT SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
  • Experience with using digital marketing to sell.
  • Experience in lead conversion and CRM management
  • High quality planning, organization, communication and time management and interpersonal skills.
  • A pro-active and problem-solving approach with the flexibility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
 
ESSENTIAL
  • Have a recent up to date Nigerian passport.
  • Willing to travel extensively both locally within Nigeria for fairs/agent meetings and internationally when needed.
  • Willing to work on weekends and evenings.
  • No travel bans or travel history that can affect TUS reputation and hinder travel plans.
